Coburg into the Bay of Quinte region

Well, we haven't been able to get any pictures up lately so we'll try in Oswego we promise. In Coburg Rob tried and crashed the computer and the very mean librarian came over and had a fit! Apparently Rob got a lecture about not being a "Coburg taxpayer", etc, etc :)
So we left Coburg and had a horrible run of almost 10 hours to get to Presqu'ile Bay which leads to the Bay of Quinte. The weather was okay, motored, then tried to sail, crummy wind, eventually motored again all the while Lake Ontario decided to blow and blow until it was a horrible 1 to 1 1/2 metre high waves slop! Snow Day sure can roll but she handled it well. The dogs I'm always amazed do not get sea sick! And now I didn't get sick either!! So I must be adjusting, everyone else was fine as well. We finally made it into the bay and tied up against the wall at the entrance to the Murray canal for the night.
This was very peaceful and very calm, however we were awoken to gunshots of the local duck hunters all morning. Abbey was not impressed and sang songs about the "duck killers".
The next day on through the canal and onto a peaceful anchorage just past Belleville- it was good that it was nice and peaceful because we had to stay 2 days due to bad weather the next day. The forcast was for 2-3 metre waves on Lake Ontario!! Glad I missed that! Even in the Bay area it really blew up a huge chop so we did attempt to leave and then turned around and back to our nice anchorage. We really have to learn that when there is a debate to leave or stay that STAY is always the right answer!!
The family itself is doing well, we dove into the books for the kids first French lesson, they liked it! Everyone is relaxed and I think we are starting to enjoy the freedom of cruising. We are aiming to anchor only until Oswego now to save on the budget. We are at our limit for the Canadian portion of our trip already! We just stocked up on groceries and are filling the water tanks and will restock in Oswego. The cat is improving with his sea sickness too and our anchoring skills so far are going well.
So today is now Monday, Sept 25 and hopefully we'll be in Oswego in possibly 3-4 days but it may be longer due to weather.
