Annapolis and Hampton pictures

Annapolis, Maryland

This is one of the gates to the Navy academy- we were told that this is the spot they filmed the opening to Patriot Games with Harrison Ford.

Museum on the grounds of the Navy Academy- all these ships were made with bone and scraps of things found by prisoners of war. They were amazing and very detailed. They even had carvings inside with little rooms in the ships, etc.

This is Rachel, little girl of the nice boaters we met in Annapolis. The harbour for Annapolis was just brutal. Huge power boaters just whip through and wake the crap out of everyone. Very rude, difficult to make headway when you're rolling around all over the place too! Chris and Rebecca said it's always like this but worse on weekends.

Rob talking to Chris, so nice to be in a house with air conditioning for the really hot day- it was over 100F!

Chris and Rebecca, very nice people, I hope they manage to make their dream come true.

Annapolis, very cute town, very touristy and very focused on sailing and the Navy academy.

Pictures from Hampton, Virginia.

After Norfolk we went on to Hampton for a number of days. It was a very nice stop. We ended up seeing "The Fantastic 4" movie which we all felt was much better than Spiderman 3! This is Matthew without his body in the magic section of the Air and Space Museum!!

Abbey and Matthew will be your pilot for today. They actually did a lot better on the simulators than Rob and I!!

Abbey got to land a plane too!!!!

It was neat that they had a real 727 plane in the museum. They had the entire thing indoors with tail and all and you could hang out in the cockpit. This is the Air and Space museum in Hampton, Virginia.
